Dr Vivekanandam wins Shark Tank competition
Dr Vivekanadam beat off stiff competition and a grilling by 4 very ominous sharks in the Shark Tank competition which was held at the Muscle Study Group meeting. She was awarded $10,000 of funding towards her clinical project.
This award will allow her to get her study looking at the efficacy of mexiletine versus lamotrigine in patients with non-dystrophic myotonia underway. This study will help us understand whether lamotrigine is as good for treating patients with myotonia as mexiletine.
